Daily Responsibilities
For ages 2 and up
- Make your bed
- Put your dirty clothes in the hamper or laundry room
- Put shoes away
- Put your personal items away—toys, books, self-care items, etc.
- Get dressed
- Wash your face and brush your teeth
- Prepare your own snacks and/or lunch
Shared Family Responsibilities
In sequence of difficulty from 2 years old and up
- Feed the pets
- Set the table/clear the table
- Help prepare meals
- Sort, load washer/dryer, and fold laundry
- Load and unload the dishwasher
- Dust and polish furniture
- Water the plants
- Put groceries away
- Empty the trash
- Help with yard work—weed, rake, mow
- Check the mailbox
- Wash windows
- Sweep, vacuum, mop
- Plan a meal and prepare it
- Change the bed sheets
- Wash the car
- Take and bring in garbage cans
- Clean the bathroom
- Clean and organize the garage
- Plan family activities
