Grace becomes the inspiration for treating individuals with generosity, respect, and compassion. It manifests itself as action in the name of others, and it energizes our whole community. Grace creates an opening where people feel safe to reveal more of themselves. When people feel safe, valued, and cared for they bring their best selves forward. Grace fuels the emotional connectedness people feel toward their colleagues. And for that reason, they want to act in ways which preserve and strengthen their school’s culture. Love for the community is the intersection of intense feelings we have toward aspects of our community, perceptions of how our community feels about us, and our attitude toward respect and treatment of our colleagues.
