Join Christine Lowry as we continue our series. Part I in our 3 part series gave an overview of the school-wide Multi-Tiered System of Support specific to Montessori schools, large and small, private and public. This system view gives us a concrete way to minimize challenges and support all of our students in an optimal way that works in a Montessori setting.
Part II will provide an in-depth look at how we create an Inclusive Classroom Climate to support all Learners. Ideas for an optimally prepared environment, reflection on responsive and nurturing teaching and positive classroom climate, and providing optimally effective instruction will be shared as components of Prepare: Tier One in the Montessori-based MTSS. Manage: Tier Two in the Montessori-based MTSS will review accommodations, modifications, differentiated instruction, and individual learning supports to serve the needs of our variety of students. We’ll discuss the importance of learning relationships and the tools for classroom management in maintaining a peaceful classroom environment for all.
