We are approaching the third year of acknowledging Juneteenth as a formal holiday, but how are we using THI (teaching with historical integrity) to educate our parents, and our staff for truthful curriculum? How does our school recognize this day? But what is more – what really happened, and why we’re enslaved people celebrating, not June 19th, but January 1st? Come together for honest conversations about this day.
