Half Upon A Time

This book is a chapter book for eight to twelve-year-olds. There are three main characters in this book, much like Harry Potter. Their names are Jack, May and Philip. This story is loosely based on Jack and the Beanstalk and Snow White. Jack is a poor farm boy who lives with his Grandfather who in his old days rescued princesses.
Jack does not want anything to do with adventures, but when a mysterious girl lands in their yard they might have their own princess right in front of their faces. May claims to be from the real world (our world) and Jack is from the fairy tale world. They set off on a journey to find the girl’s guardian and maybe find a new friend.
On their epic journey they have tons of adventures, such as flying brooms, a dragon, a wolf king, and a magic mirror. They find themselves in the forces of evil. They must work together to find their way out of where they got stuck. If you liked this book there are two others in the series.
