The Challenge and Promise of Montessori in the Public Sector

On October 23rd, 2014, we explored the challenges of organizing and maintainig fully implemented elementary Montessori programs for ages 6 to 12 in public and charter schools. Among the topics that we considered were how to maintain authenticity in a culture that tends to be focused on state standards, the common core, and weekly lesson plans.
