A conversation with Hillary Drinkell – Healthy breathing is the foundation to our physical and mental wellness. Last time Hillary was our guest she shared breath techniques for grounding. In this session she shared several other breath techniques. Students, teachers and parents can easily learn how to affect positive changes in their mind-body systems this way.
Being with young children can be a heartwarming experience as well as a challenging one at times. Lorna will explore ways of communicating and responding to them that will allow for independence while avoiding the pitfalls of power struggles and tantrums. The focus will be on expressive and receptive language and some social/emotional development. APC is an easy way to remember how adult interactions with young children can be successful and productive for both the child and the adult.
In this first session, Montessori grandparent, Margot Garfield-Anderson, and Lorna McGrath explore commitment, communication, boundaries, common values with regard to being a grandparent. It is a great introduction to other sessions in the series that will be more specific topics like activities, setting up the physical environment, etc.
Shaun Hoyle is a certified Redirecting Children’s Behavior Instructor, a parenting coach, and she works with the local court system and parents who are divorcing. Shaun will focus on Parenting Styles After Divorce. She has some very helpful insights and strategies to share.

of cooperation through connection. Participants will leave with their parenting
tool box filled with new and effective strategies for making day-to-day family
